Hotel pool & spa day passes

Several of Hong Kong's luxury hotels sell day passes giving non-guests access to their pool, gym or spa facilities — a good way to enjoy a resort-style afternoon without booking a room, particularly useful given how compact most standard hotel rooms are (see our room sizes guide).

What's typically included

Pool access is the most common day-pass offering, sometimes bundled with gym access or a food and drink credit; spa day passes usually centre on a specific treatment package rather than open-ended facility access.

Which hotels to consider

Properties with standout pools or spas — including several covered in our hotels directory, such as the Four Seasons' harbour-view infinity pool and the Grand Hyatt's outdoor heated pool and jogging path — are the most worthwhile targets for a day pass, since the appeal is specifically the facility rather than the hotel generally.

Booking

Day passes are usually arranged directly with the hotel rather than through a general booking platform, and availability can be limited on weekends — contacting the hotel a few days ahead is more reliable than a same-day walk-up.

Why it's worth considering

For a mid-trip splurge or a hot, humid afternoon between sightseeing, a few hours of pool or spa access can be genuinely restorative without the cost or commitment of switching hotels for the night.
